The Tangguh LNG project in Bintuni Bay is one of the main pillars of national energy infrastructure that processes the world's liquefied natural gas reserves. From 2014 to 2017, Solusi Bangun Beton was entrusted to support the construction of new condensate and diesel tanks in Train 1 & 2. Working closely with BP Tangguh as the project owner, as well as CSTS and PT Wijaya Karya Beton as construction partners, we supplied specialty instant concrete with a total volume of ±2,500 m³.
As a world-class energy industry site located in a remote area, the project demanded very high occupational safety (HSE) standards and technical specifications. Logistical challenges were crucial, with material delivery from Jakarta to the project site in Papua taking up to one month. It was necessary to ensure that the materials remained quality-stable and protected from extreme humidity during the long sea journey before being used on site.
Responding to these challenges, Solusi Bangun Beton presents PakCrete products with a 1 m³ Jumbo Bag packaging specifically designed for high durability. This packaging design ensures that the instant concrete remains impermeable and does not deteriorate despite being exposed to weather conditions during cross-island shipments. We performed strict quality control on each bag to ensure the Type V Quality concrete specifications were met with precision. Successfully meeting technical and schedule expectations in this challenging terrain resulted in outstanding customer satisfaction, as evidenced by repeat orders for further facility development.
