The construction of Hyundai's electric car manufacturing facility in Cikarang is a project of our pride, where Solusi Bangun Indonesia is part of the history of the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. The project, owned by Hyundai Indonesia, was undertaken with contractor HEIN and subcontractor partner IRS Construction during the period 2020 to 2022. Covering an area of 40,000 m², the facility is designed as a major fabrication center for the distribution of electric vehicles in the country.
As an international project, we faced challenges in the form of a very tight construction schedule and the need for extra field coordination, given that this project involved skilled labor from South Korea. In addition, the work on the factory floor demanded high accuracy with strict flatness and levelness specifications, namely FF 35 and FL 45. We were required to maintain the rhythm of work amid cross-cultural communication and very precise technical standards so that the entire infrastructure could support modern fabrication machines.
Solusi Bangun Beton rose to the challenge by supplying Dynamix concrete and ApexCrete™ flooring solution. We are agile in following the workflow in the field and maximize coordination between all stakeholders to ensure the casting process runs smoothly. Through close supervision, we managed to produce a flat floor in accordance with the customer's request, where all concrete passed the quality control test. The results of our work received direct appreciation from the Project Manager for being completed on time without delay, which also became a positive value for the performance of all parties involved.
