Sumbawa Harbor
The Sumbawa Port development is a strategic maritime infrastructure project designed to strengthen logistics connectivity and economic growth in the West Nusa Tenggara region. Undertaken by PT Berkah Andalan Rekayasa in the period August to December 2024, the project involved the casting of port structures with a total volume of 500 m³. Given its location on the coastline, all construction materials had to have extreme resistance to exposure to corrosive sea water.
The main constraint in this project was the limited source of quality aggregate material at the construction site capable of meeting the port's concrete quality standards. In addition, the need for sulfate-resistant K350 Type V concrete required the availability of specialty cement that was difficult to source locally. This geographical condition demanded an efficient logistics scheme to ensure the quality of the material was maintained all the way to the casting point on the other side of the island.
Solusi Bangun Beton presents PakCrete solution, a dry instant concrete technology in 0.5 m³ Jumbo Bag packaging manufactured in Surabaya. Using special Dupro+ HSR (high sulfate resistant) cement and selected aggregates from the Jeladri quarry, the product is precision packed and shipped using a combination of trailers and barges to Sumbawa. This "packaged concrete" innovation allowed the casting process to continue with manufacturing quality standards despite the remote location. As a result, the project was successfully completed on time with perfectly met technical specifications, proving the reliability of Bangun Beton Solutions in crossing geographical boundaries.
